Jorge J. Garza, Senior Director of Technology & Operations
Jorge J. Garza is a seasoned broadcast engineering leader and Senior Director of Technology & Operations at Latino Media Network, where he oversees the technical foundation of one of the nation’s fastest-growing Latino-focused audio networks. With more than 25 years of experience in radio engineering, studio design, and multi- market technical operations, Jorge has built a career defined by reliability, innovation, and hands-on leadership. Prior to joining Latino Media Network, he spent nearly three decades at Univision Communications, advancing through engineering and market-level technical roles that shaped his deep expertise in RF systems, digital audio workflows, and large-scale broadcast infrastructure.
Jorge holds both Certified Chief Radio Operator and Certified Radio Operator credentials from the Society of Broadcast Engineers, bringing a high level of technical rigor to compliance, system design, and operational continuity. His work spans studio construction, AoIP architecture, transmitter management, cybersecurity for broadcast environments, and the modernization of legacy systems. His impact extends internationally, having led professional seminars and technical training sessions in Mexico, Argentina, and across the Americas. Through this work, he has helped engineering teams implement state-of-the-art technologies and optimize technical operations.
At Latino Media Network, Jorge leads the strategy and execution of technology initiatives across multiple markets—guiding engineering teams, managing capital planning, and ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality audio to millions of listeners. His bilingual, bicultural background enhances collaboration across programming, operations, and executive leadership, aligning technical capabilities with the network’s mission to serve Latino communities nationwide.
Outside of his professional life, Jorge and his family share a deep-rooted passion for boxing and music. Together, they are building a 1,500-square-foot boxing gym to support the next chapter of his son Jorge Jr.’s journey as he prepares for a future in professional boxing.
Jorge is also a business owner, operating a live audio production company specializing in live entertainment, staging, LED video, professional audio, and his daughter DJ service.
He resides in Edinburg, Texas, with his wife Karla, daughter Vicky, and son Jorge Jr., proudly continuing their family’s commitment to community, discipline, and growth.
